Parliament is public. So is this.
The Problem
Hansard is the official record of everything said in UK Parliament. It’s an extraordinary public resource. But it's vast, dense, and updated constantly. Policy professionals need to know what's being said about their sectors, but nobody has time to read hundreds of pages of debate every sitting day.
Parliamentary monitoring has traditionally meant expensive subscriptions: established services that charge thousands of pounds a year for what is, at its core, publicly available information published under an open licence. We think that's wrong. Hansard belongs to everyone. Verbatim is built on the belief that good parliamentary intelligence shouldn't be locked behind a paywall.
Our Solution
Verbatim monitors every word published in Hansard and delivers a weekly briefing covering everything Parliament said about your topics
Each report tells you what was said, who said it, in which chamber, and links you directly to the source.
